Why does my Wi-Fi disconnect and then alert me to turn off airplane when it's not enabled?

My wifi keeps disconnecting then it send me a message to turn off the airplane mode in settings. The airplane mode is not on? I can't use my iPad with out the network. My network is available to use and has been working fine until 2 days ago. It's very frustrating to be in a area to be kicked out over and over again. Anyone have any ideas? I have gone over and over what I have done on my iPad and can't figure what I have done wrong.

1. Reboot your iPad.
2. Make sure you are connected to a legitimate Wi-Fi network.
3. Surf the web.
