Why does my phone display only SOS?

i have updated my phone to ios8.1 via window computer and in few later days my phone cannot make a call , receivie even messages because it always only sos. now still be shown the status sos

Tap on the "cancel" option in the lower left corner of the screen until you see the "Slide to unlock" option. That should take you out of "Emergency Only" call mode.

Sorry but I can't find this "cancel" option in the lower left screen on my iPhone 6. I can get a screen which has "slide to unlock" but no better. This takes me onto my start screen of icons. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
