Why does my main camera (rear camera) not work after updating?

After updating my phone I was unable to use the rear camera on my phone which I use very often. I thought it may just have been the camera app on iPhone although after going in to snapchat, Instagram and Twitter it didn't work on any of those either.

Did you update OTA? Have you tried hooking to iTunes and doing a restore of the iOS? Try that.

Also did you try a restart? Maybe even holding your home and power button till you see the Apple logo. Then release and the device will restart. Now test the camera...
