Why does my iPhone 6 randomly open apps and stop my music?

While listening to music, the phone will stop playing and start opening random files, pictures and apps. It once opened Amazon and changed the language.

I'd try a backup of the device and restore the iOS...then restore the backup.

Has the device ever been dropped in water or gotten wet? Is it jail broken?
