Why does my Iphone 5s not work with my Bose Sounddock 10

My Bose Sounddock 10 used to work beautifully with my Iphone 4. My Iphone 5s does not work with my Bose Sounddock 10. I of course am using a connection converter where the base of phone attaches to the soundock. It also will not work when I try to play it with the auxillary option.
