Why does my iPhone 5C take me back to the home screen for no reason while I'm playing a game?

When I'm playing a game it takes me to the home room and I didn't even click the home button

I don't know, but it seems as if the game you're playing is crashing. Is there an updated version to install? Have you tried deleting the app and then re-installing it?
