Why does my Apple Watch chime while charging?

When I charge my Apple Watch is chimes and does so as long as it is charging. Is this normal? How can I stop it?

My Apple Watch chimes once when I attach it to its charger, then remains silent as it charges.

It chimes to let you know that it is now charging. Yes, it's normal, and no, you cannot disable it at this time.

I would check your charging cable and connectors, it should chime once, on connection,to let you know that the connection is good, if your watch keeps chiming it means your charging circuit keeps getting interrupted, for whatever reason, could be crud in charging socket.
