Why does music start playing through my Bluetooth connected device?

I

iMore Question

I have an iPhone 6S running the latest IOS update 11.3. When I am listening to music via Bluetooth and I use the keyboard to create or edit a word document, email etc., after 10 seconds of backing out of app, the music stops playing through the AirPods or other speaker connected via Bluetooth. It doesn’t matter if I force lock the phone or let it lock on its own. When I check the music app the ticker is still advancing showing music is still streaming. I have discovered if I open the source tab and move selected sound device from Bluetooth device to phone the sound returns to the phone speaker. I then can select Bluetooth connected device and normal sound returns to that device. Any thoughts?

What app are you using to listen to music? Only certain apps can play music in the background while using other apps.
