Why does it still show that I have no service?

I just upgraded from iphone 4 to iphone 5s using the iTunes backup. Everything has been backed up except the at&t phone service.

If you had no service before how is changing your phone going to fix the fault . I would talk to your service provider about your issue first , you now know the fault is not your phone ,
