When I play my music on my iPhone 6, I have to pick them individually if I want to hear various songs. If I don't select them individually they'll just play over and over again. Help please!!

Welcome to iMore! I ran into that myself. I tapped on a song at the bottom on a playlist, like here:
Then on the next page I worked with these 2 icons at the bottom. Somehow I fixed it. I'm not sure what I did. But it's a start. Maybe someone can explain it better.
