Why do previous windows pop up when I turn my iMAC on?

Previous windows pop up when I turn my iMAC on

So when I get done using my computer for the day I exit all of my apps, Google, iPhoto, ext. when I return the next day during the start up precious all of these windows start popping up! What does this mean and how do I make it stop?

Sounds like the programs listed could be in the Login Items list.
