why did my iPod shut off?

Ok my iPod was just sitting there working fine, then i went to eat out and i left my iPod at home. When i got home same thing, and i was going to bed was checking my iPod but it won't come on and it still won't! and it have full batter! I PLUG IT IN MY LAPTOP! NOTHING! so idk what happen!

How do you know you have a full battery? Have you tried another cord? Did you drop it at any point?
