why can't my contact see me when I make a video call?

When I make a video call on Facetime, I can see my contact but they cannot see me although they can hear me. Do I need to click on an icon in order to turn the camera round? If so, where is it?

I can only assume that something is blocking the camera. Having said that, initiate the Camera app and then select the last icon at the top. That should switch from the rear camera to the front camera. If you can see your image on the screen then your FaceTime recipients should see you.
