Why can't I text Android users?

I can text i phone users but not android

So i can receive text messages and calls from a android user but i can not make calls or send text messages to a android user.. Calls and texts are normal and work coming from a iphone user

Welcome to iMore! Is this just one Android user, or all Android users? Have you tried other Android users? Did the Android user switch from iPhone to Android?

Take a look if Send as SMS, MMS and iMessage is ON.
Then try toggling iMessage off, then back on.

It sounds like iMessage is interfering, which it shouldn't be (iMessage only works between iPhone users, not Android). I think Ledsteplin is spot-on here with his advice. If toggling iMessage off and back on does not work then try disabling iMessage altogether. If that fixes it then chances are you may need to do a hard reset or a factory reset.
