Why can't I take a video on my iPhone 5?

My iphone5 can't take a vido

When I open camera,there are only photo,square,pano, I can't take any vido

You need to rotate the selector to the left for video slo-mo and time-lapse if your running iOS 8 or later

I just had the same problem, so I gave up and told siri to take a video and she fixes it so do that!
