Why can't I submit my iCloud password?

When I sign in to my Apple ID, the password works perfectly, but when I try to type in the same password into my iCloud, it says that the password I entered is incorrect. But when I checked on apple.com it said that Apple ID and iCloud passwords are the same. Yet it doesn't work on my phone. Help?

Go to www.iCloud.com via a computer and login with your iCloud credentials. If you are unable to access iCloud that way then you are indeed entering the wrong information.
