Cannot rent movie

cannot RENT MOVIE BECAUSE SCREEN SAYS I OWE and must go to iTunes store.

Okay, then pay what you owe first. Go to the iTunes Store, scroll all the way to the bottom and select your Apple ID, then select 'View Apple ID', enter your iTunes passcode, then select 'Payment Information' and then update your info. These instructions were for the iPhone, by the way...
