Made video AVI file on video editing machine It will not play on my Mac Pro

You will need a 3rd-party app to view it.

VLC media player can almost play every video. I think you should use that program.

the QuickTime Player should be able to play AVI.

You might want to save your movie files as a quicktime files to view them on mac.
