Why can't I move photos to the album on my iPad?

Why can't I move photos to album on iPad

When I select photos to move to an existing album in Photos on my iPad Air2 the album is greyed out and photos cannot be added.
Any ideas on how to fix this problem would be appreciated.

Are these albums you imported from iPhoto? Have you tried to create a new album and move them to that one?
