Why can't I delete photos from my iPhone

After I installed Yosemite on my Mac, all the photos I have ever taken appeared on my iPhone and iPad, and I can't delete them.

Welcome to iMore! If the photos came from your computer, then they will have to be deleted on your computer. Or something like that. Maybe someone with better instructions will come along. It will have to be done on computer though.
