Why can't I call the contacts saved on my iPhone?

Cannot call the contacts saved in iphone.

I am not able to call the saved contacts in my iphone.I can call the person by dialing the number in dialpad but cannot call from contact list.Further the name of the saved contacts does not appear whenever they call me.

Welcome to iMore! There have been some weird things happening with contact in iOS 9. Try this:

1. Open Contacts app
2. Click "Groups" in the upper left corner
3. Uncheck all groups, then re-check them
4. Soft reset your phone by holding both the power button and home button down until you see the Apple boot logo.
4. Try placing a call to a contact again

Let us know if you're still having issues and we can go from there.

Please go to setting > phone and off the "dail assistant".

Hey Rob my iPhone XS Max it doesn’t show a call ID whenever they call
Just says unknown caller

But when I search the contacts and call them directly . The name appear
