Why can I not access Google on my iPhone 6plus?

When I try going to the Google icon on my phone, the page comes up but when I try to type anything in on the keyboard in the white space, I can't! The letters aren't going in and the screen is doing like a keyboard "swipe". Hard to explain, but what could be happening? i tried turning the phone off as I thought that I might have to reboot something...but nothing! Help!

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Google app?

I do not know, but are you using any 3rd-party keyboards? Are you trying to access Google via an app or via a web browser. Also, what specific phone are you using?
