Why aren't text messages not going through to 1 contact?

text message not going thru to 1 contact

I'm having trouble sending a text to 1 contact (he has an iphone 6 too). It keeps saying sending but it never does. We have both turned our phones off and on, we've checked to see if we somehow blocked each other. He is able to send me a text and I am able to send texts to others. We are in the same building, so don't think it has anything to do with our coverage. We both are on Verizon.

I don't know, but I'd say your number is blocked on his device.
