Why are my photos on macOS stuck on updating

Hi Rene for whatever reason my Photos app on mac OS has been stuck on an "updating" status for a long time about 2 months i have left it for a full day to see if it will eventually update but it hasn't have you any idea why this is happening and is there a fix for it

Sorry, stuck updating how? Like it won't even launch and only shows you an updating screen? Or is it usable but doesn't show new photos?

basically on my mac the updating status just stayed there and wouldn't change to updated. however i have since fixed the issue by repairing the library. Hopefully it will stay that way

I had this happen to me. Contact Apple's support. This is probably an iCloud issue.
