Why are my links within my emails not working properly?

Links within my hotmail AND gmail accounts connect me to the page for about a second and then it goes to Yahoo browser page. My default browser is Google so I'm not sure what is going on. I have not updated any software on my Mac OS X ver. 10.6.8 for some time. This is a new problem.

It might be that you have malware that is hijacking the mail to Yahoo as you said. If your Mac is eligible you might benefit from the OS X El Capitan update.
