Why are iPhone X prices still so high?

I

iMore Question

If the iPhone X is over a year old, and the Xs has been out for a couple months now, so why are new iPhone 10s (plural) in new condition still selling for the same price as when they came out last year? They are basically selling for Xs prices. Shouldn't they be going for somewhere between Xr and Xs prices at most?

Most likely they don't want the X to compete with the XS in sales. They want users to buy the XS. It's why they discontinued making the X. They'll likely use what's left of the X in stock for replacements. I can't think of a good reason why anyone would buy a new X now, when the XS is the same price.

Well said Keith

My two cents. Seeing as the 8 series are still on the menu you can’t really expect a new design to be put on the sale rack

The prices the X is selling for is coming from the vendors that had them in stock. Since Apple discontinued them that is all left over inventory and I am sure the retailers don't want to lose too much money.
