Why are invitees disappearing after clicking Done from event (iPhone 6 Plus)?

On my iPhone 6 Plus - I'm trying to send invitees (specifically to myself) to my home email and work email addresses. When I add "my" invitees, and click done... It goes back to the event, and my name(s) disappear.

This has happened on multiple events recently and never had a problem before.

Anyone else have this issue before? Any suggestions/fixes?

Don't know for sure. I had better luck inviting my wife to an event using her iCloud email account, rather than Gmail.
