Why am i unable to download facebook and twitter?

I tried a couple of times to download facebook and twitter but i keep getting the message"facebook and twitter could not be downloaded at this time".I did not have problems downloading whatsapp and i have enough space on my Iphone4.Another problem my Itunes is blank
