Why am I no longer able to get appstore search results on my iPad Air?

I am no longer able to get appstore search results on ipad air

Previously when I entered the app store I entered a key word search and was presented a list of ipad, iphone, .... apps that matched my search criteria. Now I get an indicator that my search is in progress but I never get results.
