• iPhone 15 : The iPhone 15 makes up for a disappointing iPhone 14. Here's all the details.
    • iPhone 15 Pro: Going beyond the Dynamic Island, Apple's pro smartphone goes big on gaming.
    • iPhone 15 Pro Max: That periscope camera makes its debut on Apple's most-premium handset.
    • Apple Watch Series 9: With a new chip teased, it proves just an iterative year for Apple's long-standing wearable.
    • Apple Watch Ultra 2: Another modest update for Apple's top-tier rugged wearable sequel.
    • iOS 17: Our favorite new iPhone software improvements, all in one place.
    • watchOS 10: A significant upgrade for Apple's Watch software makes even older Apple Watches feel new again.

Why am I disappointed with my iPhone 7+---let me count the ways.

For one; contacts will not upload to my 2012 Genesis. Genesis audio instructions say, "Begin upload of "Phonebook"." How do I do that? Never had these problems with my Galaxy 3.
Please Mr. Cook, we believed the hype, now fix the bugs or at least tell us the secret on how to do this.

Hi, and welcome to iMore!

Sounds like you may need to contact your Hyundai dealership, check your cars manual, or ensure that your Hyundai's console has updated software to work with iOS 11+. Hopefully another forum member that has the same vehicle as you do can chime in and offer you better assistance.

iMore is a fan based website and not official Apple forums.... it's doubtful that Mr Cook reads these forums.

Let me get this straight. Because you're unable to upload the "phonebook" to your 2012 model car's Infotainment system, you assume it's a bug within iOS because you're able to do it with what I assume is your Galaxy S3. The Galaxy S3 launched the same year as your car, however the iPhone 7 Plus launched in the fall of 2016 - 4 years after your car and Galaxy S3 were launched. Is it possible that your car's features are too old for the iPhone 7 Plus, especially when new model cars use the term "contacts” instead of "phonebook"? - at least the ones I've been in....

Welcome to iMore! My contacts upload just fine to the uConnect system in my 2017 Ram. Sounds like more of an issue with your six year old Hyundai than with iOS.

Welcome to the forums. I found this on Hyundai site: https://www.hyundaiusa.com/myhyundaicontent/Data/teamsite/doc/downloads/howTo_download_AVN.pdf

I am guessing it will have a patch for newer devices.

I hope they're not like our dealership. They wanted over 100 dollars just to update the maps in the GPS. We bought a Garmin instead... free lifetime updates.
I don't have a Hyundai, but I was able to update my Ford Fiesta. Ford didn't charge me anything for the download.
