Who's waiting in line on launch day?

Not me! I waited in line when the iPhone 4 came out. I feel like every Apple fanboy/girl should wait in line (at an Apple Store) for at least one product in their life. It's sort of a religious experience.. it makes you feel like less of a dork for waiting in line for something when you are surrounded by 100s of people that are as well. I met a couple cool people in line too..

Yep... my thoughts on that are (1) everyone should do it once; (2) once is enough. It's the party atmosphere, the camaraderie and making some new friends.

I'm gonna queue up. I bought my 3GS at the Apple Store a week after launch, and it was an oddly cool experience getting my phone right from the mother ship. I preordered my 4S last year, but it just wasn't the same.

I figure with the inflated cost of the early upgrade, it's not likely I get the 5S, but instead will wait for the 6, so this'll be the last time I experience new phone glory for two years. In this case, I'm gonna bust my launch day cherry & join the crowd.

I would be off work at 7am est on Friday so I figured I would just pre-order that way I could sleep when I get home.

If anyone is at the Eaton Center in Toronto I'm going to be there at 8AM when the store opens. I want to take a picture of how long the line is and see how many people are there. I'll be texting from there too so if you want add me and let me know you're there I'd love to meet another iMore person. I would so wait in line again even though I vowed never to again after iPhone 4 launch. However this time I would take some food, a laptop or iPad and some friends to share jokes and wait in line. However I don't have the cashflow to get it on launch day this year so I'll be going back at noon to see if I can get hands on and take some pictures of the beast.
