Anyone know if Apple Stores will have 256GB of the 13 Pro Max in stock on release day? I checked online about picking one up and none of the 6 Apple Stores near me have any for pickup on Friday. Does that mean they won't have them in store?

They should. I tried to order a Pro Max in graphite 256 GB for in store pickup. They said it was unavailable, but I could order a Gold 512 GB for in store pickup now, and pickup on Friday. I’m going to check again Thursday evening.

These carrier promotions come with gotcha's! Read the fine print. NEVER will I buy from a carrier again!
Just get it from Apple, pay up front in full if you can (or use a credit card with points and pay it off!) And enjoy freedom with no strings attached.
Don't need your old device? Sell in Swappa and net FAR more than any of these carriers give in discounts, back in cash! Play the cards right and you have a new device in hand every year with no payment and the cost of ownership is far less. Statement credits over 24 (sometimes 36 months) AND the phone is carrier locked? They can shove it!

If you live within reasonable driving distance and want to save sales tax plus 3% use ZIP 19711, pick up at Christiana store and pay with Apple Card! That's for the daredevil cheapskates out there braving the lines on release day. I used to do that being only an hour drive to save 6% sales tax but with this pandemic I just eat the 6% and have it shipped. The convenience is nice too.

I don’t do carrier promotions but have done apples trade in. $450 right now for my 11 Pro, 64gb. You think I could get much more on Swappa for that?

I haven’t been on the forum in a long time, so I’ve missed a lot. Life gets in the way, Lol.

But I pre-ordered the 512 13 Pro in silver. I am not a fan of blue and that makes me weird, I know. I ordered the Apple silicone case in chalk pink at the same time. We use Verizon and they had the case for $37 so cheaper than Apple. So I’ll have my case when I get my phone and hopefully all will be good.
Supposed to get it this Friday.

I have not had a great experience with my 12 pro. The day I got it after transferring my data it went full black screen and would not do anything. I got on Apple’s website and they had a solution that involved uninstalling and reinstalling the OS, so that’s what I did and it came back up. Shoulda, coulda, woulda returned it anyway but I didn’t and it was a bit janky at times. Like opening the camera and just getting a black screen, so had to close it and swipe away and return. By then I missed the shot! Also a little jumpy scrolling at times. But none of it was bad enough I guess for me to go to Apple about it, but will be glad to get a new one and if this one has any issues at all it is going back!

Pretty certain I’m going to upgrade from my Black/Space Grey/Graphite 11 Pro, 64gb. Phone still works well but after 2 years I’m itching for something new.

I am going to go for the 13 Pro, 256gb because of the ProRes video… I guess. Doubt I’ll even use it but at least I have the option. Probably would be just fine with 128gb.

Color is till up in the air. Any one but gold are options. I like the blue but need to see in person first. Have only ever had Black/Space Grey/Graphite.

I was going to order but after reading [mention]Just_Me_D [/mention] post about going to the store, I thought I’d embrace the chaos, see the colors and, get a hands on experience.

I haven’t had my 12Pro Max very long and it is working great. I also updated to the iOS 15 today. My brother had the 11pro .He is upgrading. But I am fine. Normally I want the newest but I will hold out for the 14

I had that problem with my 11pro max. No problems with my 12 pro max

I don't think we're really going to know for sure what that blue looks like until we get some good pics. The ones above from the Apple video touring the features I really suspect that section of the video was CGI rendering of the phones and either way lighting in a video like that doesn't really necessarily show off the real look until you see it in person with normal lighting and no post processing whatever photo or video you're looking at. My initial thoughts when seeing it and deciding to order it were that it's probably going to be very similar in hue to the blue iPad Air that came out last year. I have one of those and like the color on it.

edit: the blue on the non Pro models however, not a big fan of that one, the teal blue look that it has.

It's too pale IMHO. A darker navy blue would be awesome.
On the camera glass it would look better if the whole part was covered with a sapphire window and the space around the lens elements was jet black. So a black square on the back of all phones. Perhaps next year it will be flush or close to it.

IMHO, the worst looking camera bump has to be the Pixel 6. Keep it up and it's going to look like a lego!

I will not. I will stick with iPhone 12 Pro. Had plans to switch to Android but lost my phone on a rafting trip this past weekend. After paying a deposit for the insurance, I'm just gonna sit still and wait awhile. But the iPhone 13 doesn't have much of a difference physically to make me want to upgrade early
