whiteboard solution using ipad/mac?

I am looking for a whiteboard solution that I could use with my ipad and pencil but also throw over to my mac? Is this even doable?

I don’t see why not? You should be able to do it with Apple Free Form whenever it goes live. In the meantime, you should be able to use the native Notes apps.
