The gold is a totally different beast in person. I was all for it, but ended up with a space gray one. I finally got around to visiting an Apple store this weekend, and I must say, not what I expected.

I wanted gold so bad. It's beautiful. But it's up to you. With gold people will know you have the new phone. It is also crazy hard to find.

Space gray, so much neater and more... neutral. The gold also seems to dim itself with the light, so I don't know if that factors into your decision or not.
