Where are my photos?

I am trying to sync all my photos to my phone and they are not there. In the Albums view all I have is the Instagram. None of the Albums I just synced onto it. Yet, if I go into photos view, it says at the bottom that there should be 5,938 photos?? where are they then? How do I view the photos i just synced from my itunes as they say they are on my phone,

Disable sync and enable it again.
I have no explanation as to why you can't see it now.
