When using Facebook on my iPad II, why won't it show the comments that have been made when I click on?

When using Facebook on my Ipad II, it will not show the comments that have been made when I click on

First it was Scrabble that wouldn't work on Ipad. That finally got fixed and now Facebook is acting up. When I am reading through the news feed and clik on the right side where the number of comments posted is indicated, all it does is come up blank! I have tried hitting comment first to see if it would pop up that way, with no luck. Yes, I have even tried minimizing the keyboard. All to no avail! Is there a fix for this as it is really annoying! I'm getting ready to have surgery and will be laid up for a while and I would love to be able to stay connected with Facebook from my bed as I won't be ab;e to sit at the p.c.

I tend to favor Facebook in Safari on the iPad rather than the app...
