When saying “hey Siri” what is the key to NOT having both my phone and my watch respond? For example when I intend to say “hey Siri” to my watch to set a timer and my phone is also nearby they both respond and create the same timer

In my experience, if you are saying “hey Siri” and your phone is on or in use, only the phone will respond. Same thing with the watch. However, when my phone and watch series 5 are next to each other not in use and I say “hey Siri”, only the phone responds.
