What should I do next before I take this battery case to Apple to claim for a replacement?

Hi people I have an iPhone 7 with the smart battery case I get 9 hrs of battery then at 12 am the smart battery case died and at 12 am the phone battery was at 100% I woke up around 11:30 am an it was at 30% the battery with no apps in the background.

The apple support chat told me to delete Facebook and messenger I did that and also diagnostic passed but I test the phone two days without the social media app and I still see the drain of battery faster when the smart case dies and the phone use is lite use since I use my iPad pro 9.7 more.

What should I do next before I take this to apple to claim for a replacement ?

I don't have a battery case on my iPhone so I don't know what to tell you. hopefully, other members will respond with a recommendation soon.

Not sure if the case causing the issue with my phone or the phone is defective

Well, that doesn´t sound right. Have you tried doing the same with the phone alone (w/o the battery case) to see if it's a battery case or a phone issue.

Anyways, sounds like you do have to go to the Apple Store.
