What?s with the numbers instead of names?

I have noticed this quite a bit lately as I read through the forums. In some cases, the "Likes" on a post reflect a user name. Other times, it shows a crpytic number. And many posts with "Likes" registered show a combination of both.

Can anyone explain this?

Funny thing is, if you click on a number, it takes you to the forum profile page of that user (and reveals their name). I don’t necessarily think that it’s intentional or a problem. More of a curiosity.

I, too, have noticed the numbers, and like Blink, I assumes the user simply liked using numbers as his or her username. Hopefully, the network mods can shed some light on this.

Doesn't seem like posting links is any helpful. I don't see the problem on my end ATM. It's a intermittent issue, and I don't yet know what triggers it. These kind of problems are a pain to track down. I will need to add some code to generate debugging information when it detects this condition. It will take some time to generate and analyze the logs. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks, Tom. Strapping in and trying to be patient. :)

Actually beyond the "hmmm, that’s weird" thing, this one really isn't a big deal... it was just something that I noticed... and probably should be fixed whenever you can track down the little critter that’s causing it, but not worth losing sleep over :) thanks for the response...
