What happened to the Store icon in iBooks on the iPad?

I've used iBooks on my iPad for years. Now when I open it, all icons are there except Store. If I tap 'Featured', 'NYTimes' or any other, nothing happens. There are no enabled restrictions, nothing has been changed from any other time I've used it, but no Store!

Any of the tabs along the bottom (except Purchased) allow you to search (top-right corner) the store.
