Welcome to iMore! That means your device is in low power mode. It conserves battery power but disables certain notifications and background processes. You can turn it off by going to Settings > Battery, and toggling the feature off.

When your battery indicator is yellow it means that you have low power mode activated. To deactivate low power mode go into settings then battery and switch it off as shown...

Low Power Mode will also be disabled when you're charging your device and it reaches 80% of battery level.
