Re: cleaner

The same lens wipe I use for my eyeglasses is what I use to clean my iPhone. I have a box full of them that I order from Amazon a while back. The wipes are alcohol based and does it’s job well, in my opinion.

Re: cleaner

Apple updated its guidelines for cleaning our devices a few weeks ago. It is acceptable to use Clorox non-bleach wipes on our devices. I also use whoosh and Zeiss optical wipes on mine. One other thing to keep in mind is to never spray cleaner directly on a device. Instead, spray it on a clean cloth and then use the cloth to clean your device.

Are you referring to "iCloths"? If so, I've used those as well, and they are fantastic!

Re: cleaner

so don’t be afraid to use spray products on electronics?

As long as the spray don’t have bleach and you don’t spray it directly on the device it should probably be OK. Make sure and spray it on a cloth first and then wipe the device with the cloth.

I am curious, what spray are you wanting to use?

Re: cleaner

I took my Mac desktop a while back to the Apple Store to have them look at it. They used something to clean my screen ask. I forgot to ask what that used. Anyone know

I’ve always used hand sanitizer wipes or computer/lens wipes to clean my devices. And if I had too much hand sanitizer on my hands, my device would get wiped down too. Working in hospitals for 20+ years taught me to wipe down everything.

So hear that, and even more so now.

With dozens of Apple devices in food and retail, we've been cleaning them with strong cleaners for years. We get long life from them in tough use. We've never seen strong and disinfectant cleaners cause damage. In current circumstances they are in a done every two hours checklist for cleaning with disinfectant. Waste your money on fancy stuff if you want but companies that have to be clean aren't buying expensive stuff in little bottles. We're not wrecking the dozens each of phones and tablets at each location. Software and hardware make them go obsolete before cleaning.
