I have had mine since 2016. Early edition 2015 purchased new. I have never had an issue with it, unlike PC’s which I had to replace within two yrs for some reason. I know what I am doing technically. My Mac has never faltered. Runs fast as if it was day one I got it. I love it

In 2009, I purchased a brand new white MacBook and kept it for about 8 years. I purchased a brand new 2017 MacBook Pro (w/o the tool bar) on January 20, 2018 and I’d like to think that it, too, will serve me well for many years.

We had a 15” Dell laptop which we bought at Walmart. Quit working last year after about 8 or 9 years of having it.

I’m still using my 11” Air & 15” MBP, both from 2012. I also use my son’s 13” MBP from 2015. All still run perfectly!! I’ll replace em when they die lol

The price of MacBooks is what I don't like. Having said that I will probably replace my 2015 with a new one next year ...LOL

Well that didn't happen. My 2015 MacBook Pro is running great and has a few more years of use. No need to get one until my one current stops working.

Upgraded my 2013 MBA with 2019 MBA, handed down the 2013 to my grandson and its still going strong.

With an all lineup refresh done plus my day job, I feel I can be critical in a decent way. In IT admin I use and provision lots of stuff.

The MacBook refresh is good in important ways but the Air and 13" Pro did not get the screen bezel improvement the big laptop has. In past few months I've provisioned Surface Laptop 3s. They made me think Apple laptops are not the innovations or innovators they used to be. My company issue Surface is a Pro, but both Surface products show me the pure OS and build quality, and make the iPad Pro seem goofy by comparison. I use the total quality Windows 10 scenario with touch screen enough to think it should be there with Macs. Over and over iPads fail as being the computers Apple marketing people claim they are.

I do need a Mac laptop update. Tomorrow my M5 12" is scheduled for the post-warranty keyboard repair. Maybe that will mean I can put off a purchase.

The os feels very dated when you use iPad os or windows. You pay a lot of money for basic computing and a whole lot more should you want to play a game.
