The weather is changing so fast, depending on where you live, do to climate control it is getting totally out of hand .

Why is climate control an issue?
In addition, increases in average temperatures could also lead to the loss of native species and vegetation, damage to agricultural crops, unhealthy air quality, increased spread of infectious diseases, and increases in the frequency and severity of storms and natural disasters such as wildfires and mudslides.Apr 11, 2004

The weather here in Florida is beautiful at the moment for December, mother nature is giving us a nice winter weather pattern. Sorry, but I don't believe in climate change. It's called mother nature and it seems that word has been removed from weather forecasting and replaced with climate change? This earth has been around for a billion years and will be here long after we have gone the way of the dodo bird. Live life and quit worrying about the doom and gloom forecasters.

Here in Western NY it will be 50 today. Have only seen a dusting of snow thus far.
While the earth is certainly old and has gone through multiple changes, humans were not there and there is no doubt we are influencing the conditions we are seeing today. The speed at which this change is occurring is unprecedented and if we don’t get serious and quit politicizing it there will be no turning back.
Remember, the earth will survive. It’s humans that will not.

This is my opinion and I respect others who think differently because, ultimately, we’re all in this together.

It’s feeling a bit more like winter this morning. The temperature dropped 20+ degrees overnight, and my knees are feeling it!

I'm wondering how many here have had a double-digit drop in temperatures in the last 24-36 hours? Happily, I have!

Even Senator Tim Kaine was stuck there for hours

Sen. Tim Kaine had only an orange to eat as he spent over 27 hours in his car.

https://www.aaa.com/autorepair/articles/what-to-have-in-your-car-emergency-kitI saw that!!! What a horrible nightmare for everyone! Stories like this remind me of how important it is to have a winter emergency kit in my car. This link, compiled by AAA, is a list of items that are essential for your car's winter survival kit.

If I had been stuck in this mess, I would have been out of luck! Of course, I had my cell phone, but no backup charger. And I have a scraper. That's it.

Other things that I would add to the list- a couple of candles, matches, extra socks, and hand warmers. Does anyone have anything else to add?

Do you want to feel warm? Nothing better than to compare with towns like Dawson…

I heard that we will get bone-chilling temperatures in a couple of days. Still, nowhere as close to -46°C.

Or polar night time…

I heard many states were in for lake effect snow! How much did you get?

We live just north of a snow belt that typically comes off Lake Erie. Though it did move into our area temporarily, we only got a couple inches. South of us, by just a few miles, got much more.

We had snow last night, now it’s raining, and overnight, it will be -15°C.

Thankfully, I don’t have to drive tomorrow.

And we just received a extreme cold weather warning for Tuesday morning, when we expect a wind chill of -38C

When your iPhone, keeps vibrating and buzzing with updated warnings on an impending storm, you begin to realize that 9 weather apps are too many!

I have all warnings and notifications for weather turned off. I would rather sleep during storms rather to be scared by them.

In the day the same. Would rather watch the rain rather to know and crazy weather would hit.

Where I live, we’re expecting a +/- 20° swing overnight, going from 6° to -18°
