It fixes issues with the fitness rings - too many minutes given to some people on the green exercise ring; too few stand credits for people during the afternoon (who knows why, but it has happened to me) for some people on the stand ring.

Let's see -
They build the hardware and software on the iPhone, where you must do your updates.
They build the hardware and software on the Watch.
So no issue / argument available about the OS must be compatible with lots of different hardware.
And less than two weeks in to the most recent OS (and plenty of Betas and Public Betas), they issue a patch - sorry...update.
Getting progressively more sloppy, Apple.

Hopefully Apple can create a watch public beta at some point, to open up the beta to more people. Which, of course, would require tools to help a user whose watch has bricked by an update to get it back without a Genius Bar appt....

(And, of course, one issue may be that the number of people testing on new hardware, like the S4 this year, would be VERY limited. It's hard to test everything.)
