hmm I don't use mine much, but just looking at it now, it does look and feel that it could come off pretty easy. Wonder if that's something they would replace.

You have an iPhone 3GS and the toggle switch fell off? The vibrate toggle switch broke on my 3G. The chrome plastic part came unglued and they replaced it. They said they fixed it and the new design wasn't glued.

Did the whole thing fall off, or did it break and it's partially there?

Wow! I can't believe all the issues people are having on the 3GS and the 3G since it first debuted. I've never had any issues like that with my 3G. The volume switches and the ringer/vibrate toggle switch on my iPhone 3G is as tight as it was when I first purchased it and I too toggle mine on and off from home to the office. Maybe you all are being too rough with the switches? It really doesn't take any pressure to switch it on or off. I usually accomplish this task with as little as a fingernail. Possibly that's the issue?

My old 3g did this, but i was lucky enough to have found it in my pocket. I cleaned the old glue out and glued it back on. It was alot better after i fixed it. If my new one gets loose again, i'll take it off myself and redo it again befor i loose it. Personally, i would expect a better/stronger design from Apple.

I've had my 3G replaced once because the vibrate toggle fell off. Now that the warranty is almost over I try not to use the switch. I go Settings and turn off sound instead. More steps but it minimizes the wear. The switch on the 2G was a single piece and was far more robust. I would flip it on/off multiple times a day for a year and it was still going strong. In fact its still going strong now.
