using logitech combo touch, apps opening zoomed in

so, I recently bought an ipad(9th gen 2021 10.2), and a logitech combo touch keyboard, and I've since then been dealing with apps opening and immediately zooming in, eg to the point of cutting off parts of the app window and or commands, labels etc, and have been able to routinely induce this just by moving the cursor via the touchpad.

I've been trying to figure out if I'm accidentally triggering a gesture based command via the touchpad or if its something with the keyboard as a whole.

so far I've made sure the ipad's os is up to date(it is, 15.4.1), and then logitech support took me through updating the keyboard's firmware which is version v00.13-01.09 and logitech app v2.0.92.

I'm at a loss.

update: I cant get through via their chat messenger system, its borked itself well and truly.

Do you have the Zoom accessibility option enabled in Settings.app, under Accessbility​?

negative. first thing I checked. I'm aware it IS possible to toggle that accidentally..so I did check it.

I can't understand why that is happening. I have the same keyboard case for my iPad air 5th gen and it works as expected. Could it be a faulty product? Can Logitech RMA it and replace it for you?
