using iphone's ipod feature

I use the ipod on my iphone to listen to audio books, podcast etc. For some reason now when I try to listen to a book or podcast the audio is in fast forward. I can make out what is being said, but it's very fast and very annoying! Anyone else experience this problem? Any solutions? I tried deleting and redownloading but it didn't help. When I play these back on itunes it plays in normal speed. ???

There is an option for playback speed to be changed let me look around and see if I can find it.

In the upper right hand corner when your playing a podcast there is a little button with either a 1x, 2x, or 1/2x. That mean normal, twice the speed, or half the speed respectively. Tap on that button till the 1x appears. Hope this helps.
