Using Cloud storage like an external Drive

Hello

I need a solution to a simple question

I have a Macbook Pro with 256gb and an iPad pro with 32gb

I also have Dropbox, Google Drive iCloud Amazon etc with terabytes of storage

But they always have a local copy of the files which fills up my MacBook storage - unless i unsync after I upload them - which is a pain

So i need a solution where I can put all my photos online accessible and with no local copies (and preferably accessible from my iPad Pro)

also a way to get the photos online via my iPad so I can use my iPad as my main travel device

I have used expand drive - but it costs money which is fine - but these things tend to disappear after a few years

and I want to put all my photos online backed up

is there a solution to this without the hassle ?

Thanks

James

I'm unfamiliar with a storage service that don't keep local copies on your device. Hopefully, someone who does will reply soon.

Use OneDrive. Don't "sync". Manually copy/upload the pictures to the service.
You could probably accomplish the same thing with DropBox.
