I was looking for a faster way to charge my iPad Pro so i went out and bought a new charger that does 60W USB C PD.

I also bought a USB C meter that shows how many watts/volts/amps any device is using.

I am still un-able to even come close to the rated watts. I'm getting 12-15 watts my old charger was doing 7 watts.

Anyone else experience this? I'm using the cable the charger came with assuming it can do USB C PD 100 watts but just in case i have bought one that is rated for it.

Also why is there no multi port device with several 60W USB C with Power Delivery ports? I have more than one device that can take advantage of the tech.

From what I know, PD for phones/tablets are maxed out at 30W.

It also depends on the battery %. If it’s 20-80% it’ll use more Watts, while 80-100% (trickle charges) takes longer and consumes less Watts.

I might have it wrong but does the usb-c meter connection in itself cause a lowering of the charging wattage ?
